Mary and Patrick Forrester got quite the surprise when a letter dropped through their door recently to let them know that they were the lucky winners of Mobility Solutions £500 prize draw. After taking some time to get used to the news, the couple popped into their local Mobility Solutions store to collect their prize and we caught up with them to get the lowdown on their unexpected win.
The Winner Takes It All
Throughout the year, Mobility Solutions runs a competition that gives the lucky winner a cheque for a cool £500 to spend on whatever they choose. Throughout 2019, thousands of customers have entered using the prize draw cards located in-store, on the website and at events Mobility Solutions have attended around the country. Soon after the closing date at the end of last year, it was time to announce the winner. When we got in touch with Mary and Patrick to inform them of their win, they were in disbelief at their luck. Mary recalls;
“I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won. We’ve never won this amount of money before!”
Mobility Solutions Regulars
The couple, from Calder, close to the Glasgow branch, have been customers of Mobility Solutions for a number of years now. Mary was born with a hip deformity that has caused her difficulty standing and walking and throughout her life, she’s tried many different mobility aids. For Mary, living close to such a large mobility store has been invaluable as she can pop in whenever she’d like to browse the range of essential items to help her independence. Her latest purchase, the super-lightweight Karma Ergo Lite, has been a bit of a game-changer, to say the least.
“The staff at Mobility Solutions helped me decide which wheelchair was best. We chose the lightest one to make things easier for us. Often, when we’re out, I can walk a little, then I need to rest. With the wheelchair, Patrick doesn’t have to wait for me, he can easily push me.”
Now that Mary and Patrick have got used to their unexpected win, next on the list is deciding what to spend their winnings on. Mary isn’t quite sure yet but thinks that their kitchen could do with an upgrade. The couple has agreed on one thing though; they’re determined to treat their extended family to a night out they won’t forget in a hurry. Mary says;
“We go out often with my sister-in-law and cousin. The first thing we’ll do with the money will definitely be taking them out and treating them!”
