After announcing that T in the Park would not be going ahead this year, the organisers announced that the TRNSMT festival would run at Glasgow Green from the 7-9th July instead. Acts already confirmed to feature at the event include Radiohead, Kasabian, Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro and Brit winners The 1975. For fans requiring accessible tickets, there is plenty of information available on how to get tickets for the event.
Buying Accessible Tickets
As with the majority of live music events, tickets are sold via Ticketmaster. They ask customers to call 0800 988 4440 to get tickets as these can’t be bought online.
For TRNSMT festival, there are 4 different types of tickets on offer to those with accessible requirements:
- Accessible Ticket: Includes use of accessible toilets, accessible parking (with blue badge) and PA/carer ticket.
- Accessible Ticket with VIP: Includes use of accessible toilets, accessible parking (with blue badge) and PA/carer ticket and to the VIP bar area.
- Accessible Ticket with viewing platform access: Includes use of accessible toilets, accessible parking (with blue badge), PA/carer ticket and access to the viewing platform.
- Accessible Ticket with VIP and viewing platform access: Includes use of accessible toilets, accessible parking (with blue badge), PA/carer ticket, access to the viewing platform and VIP bar area.
Within 14 days of purchasing your ticket you will be contacted by a co-ordinator who will provide you with an application form for the use of the accessible facilities. Alongside this you will need to provide evidence of your requirements, there are various forms of acceptable documentation that can be provided to support this such as PIP or a medical professionals letter.
The deadline for applications to be received is Friday 26th May.
Festival Facilities
The festival has a range of accessible facilities which include:

- Drinks and food service to the accessible platform
- Assistance dogs are permitted in all areas
Official coach providers Big Green Coach have stated that they will endeavour to provide transport that meets everyone’s requirements. Once you’ve booked your tickets for the event their customer service team will try and confirm if they can supply a coach to meet your needs, their number is 08443245666.
As well as a blue-badge parking area there will also be an accessible drop-off point, details and directions can be provided once confirmation of tickets are confirmed.
The festival organisers are keen to street however that the event arena floor consists of varied terrain, and ask customers to be aware and prepare for all weather ground conditions. They also state that some areas might have uneven ground, and access to certain areas may not be possible, especially if bad weather occurs.

The organisers are also keen to stress that the accessible viewing platform is uncovered, and umbrellas are prohibited at the Event. Something to consider, particularly if weather conditions are poor. The accessible platform also operates a strict no smoking policy. Finally, flicker, strobe and other lighting effects may be used during some of the live performances, this may be unsuitable for some.
