Mobility Solutions recently sponsored the Fundraiser of the Year at the Finding Your Feet awards at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow. Cindy Eadon was the winner of the award and Mobility Solutions Retail Manager, Kieron Macfarlane was on hand to present the award.
Finding Your Feet
Finding Your Feet supports families affected by amputation or limb difference, through a range of sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects.
They offer support on a one-to-one basis and also in a group setting. The clubs include swimming, climbing, skiing, cycling and general fitness along with less energetic sessions where their ‘Troopers’ meet for a cuppa and a chat, with visits from experts such as benefits advisors, prosthetists and massage therapists.
Art, gardening and sewing are listed amongst the clubs they’re starting this year and they hold various days out and parties throughout the year.
The charity has big ambitions for how to improve the lives of the amputee community, but they’re only a small team, so are relying on both corporate and individual supporters and volunteers to help to achieve them.
