Mobility Solutions has teamed up with local Glasgow charity the DASH Club to provide t-shirts and hoodies for its staff.
Range of Activities
The DASH Club is an afterschool club for young people with complex special needs. It caters for teenagers with learning difficulties plus a physical, sensory or behavioural difficulty. These young people are given the opportunity to take part in a range of activities from swimming and athletics to ten pin bowling and dance. The programme is designed to promote health and wellbeing and encourage creativity within a youth group setting.
Mobility Solutions has sponsored DASH-branded T-shirts and hoodies for the club’s staff to be worn when the club is out and about. With many trips being made between schools and places such as Springburn Leisure Centre and Possilpoint Community Centre, the new clothing will help increase visibility of staff for the members.
Raise Awareness
Development Officer and Coordinator, Sean Stirling, said: “The new clothing looks great and all our staff and members are really excited to have it. We wouldn’t have been able to fund it without the help of Mobility Solutions. We run three sessions each week at different locations and also escort the kids home, so the clothing will really help our staff and members to stick together and raise awareness of the club.”
Easter Programme
The new staff clothing arrived at a fantastic time as the DASH team was out and about further afield running an Easter programme, which included a visit to Blair Drummond Safari Park and getting up close and personal with the animals! They also visited Broomlea Primary School for sessions within the hydrotherapy pool, providing aromatherapy to their wheelchair users to aid relaxation as well as fun and games in soft play.
