Mobility Solutions once again joined Allied Mobility at their third Mobility Day of the season. The South East Mobility Day was held at the Historic Dockyards in Chatham, Kent. Over 200 people attended the event, with several guests stating that they’d actually worked there back when it was a working dockyard!
Stepping Back in Time
The Chatham Dockyard is the largest preserved dockyard from the age of sail in all of Europe, making it an exciting venue for our guests to enjoy. The site contains over 100 historic buildings and structures, with three historic warships in all their glory!
The museum contains several exhibits for guests to explore, including the Victorian Ropery, RNLI Lifeboat Collection, History of the Dockyard and the No.1 Smithery, providing an immersive experience for visitors to experience the dockyards as they once were.
Shopping in Style
This impressive venue provided a beautiful landscape for the event, with our pop-up shop being located inside the No.1 Smithery – a preserved historic building. Our guests were free to explore the spacious shop, with many mobility products available to try and buy on the day. Products available were from multiple trusted brands including Pride and Recliners. We were also joined by some of our partners including Pride Mobility, Quantum, Suite Options, NHC Adjustamatic beds, Topro, Pharmaouest, Stanley Handling and Helping Hands.
Our guests could also sit and enjoy their free refreshments inside this historic building. Now that’s what you call a backdrop!
Allied Mobility
Allied Mobility showcased all of their vehicles in the outside space, with the entire dockyard as its background. The entire fleet was available for guests to get up close and personal with, including the Peugeot Partner Horizon™. Mobility and sales advisors were available on the day to assist customers and answer any questions they may have had. They were also joined by their partners Elap, Q-Straint, Brig-Ayd, People’s Parking, AM Racing and DMUK.
Fantastic Day Out
Our guests enjoyed the venue, with many being reminded of their youth. Many people came along on the day including families, couples, care groups and individuals – with some people even popping along whilst on their summer holidays!
It was great to hear positive feedback regarding our staff and our range of products, which some guests had only ever seen online or in catalogues.
